From next summer, the clubs of Ibiza will be forced to close at 6.30 am
If you are among the aficionados of the clubs of Ibiza, you know that by next summer, will be after just a distant memory: the island’s authorities have decided on a new regulation that all clubs must close strictly for 6.30 in the morning.
It is a measure, this, that hit hard the bigger clubs such as Amnesia, which usually goes on at least until 8 in the morning, if not later. Under the new law, approved last Wednesday by the president of Ibiza Vicent Torres along with the mayors of all the municipalities, even the smallest bar will bring forward the closing at 5am.
According to Diario de Ibiza for the clubs on the beach, the limit is even more stringent: they will turn off the music at midnight and close the premises at 3.
The motivation behind this new law is officially to standardize the closing times of the premises in different cities of the island, curb the noise as much as possible and put more stringent sanctions for clubs (which has so far preferred to ignore the limits of closure and negotiate with authorities) will go to penalties of various sizes, the permanent closure of the nightclub.
